I am a Research Scientist working at the Institute for Animal Health in the UK. My main areas of interest are the molecular epidemiology, evolution and taxonomy of small RNA viruses (mainly of the families Picornaviridae and Caliciviridae). My hobbies include collecting and reading books by Edgar Rice Burroughs, Robert E. Howard and H. Rider Haggard, motorcycling and drinking real ale!
